Nothing to report work wise and unfortunately more of the netting has tumbled onto the beach.
The top cliff section has become more stable so the netting has worked there and a lot of the planted Willow whips have taken however with the lower cliff section still being eroded by the sea it is only a matter of time before a major slip occurs now.
IF the work had managed to be completed on the lower cliff perhaps it would have been more stable. IF the four groynes we had could have been renewed they would have built up the beach by stopping the longshore drift so the lower cliff would have seen less erosion as the sea waves would then not be lapping the lower cliff.
