Update - July 2016

The weather has been more stable since my last posting so I felt an update would be useful. A further excellent bit of news is that Natural England has announced this month the Coastal Route Plans for the Coastal Walking Path around Sheppey - starts this year and is expected to be finished in 2020. This will make provision for a path from Sheerness to Warden which our Cliff Pilot Scheme could be helping...

  1. 7th Aug 2016. Just been down to have a look at how things are growing but as we have had low rainfall for the past month plant growth has been held back but there still seems to be better stabilisation on areas that have been done with the netting as plants are growing better.
    Met a family at the top of the cliff path who had just come up from the beach who were in a hell of a mess as they had climbed up and down the old collapsed path route which had resulted in the sustaining grazes. It's unclear how to get to the beach safely now and after I was down on the beach I saw another group scrambling down the steep old cliff path again...
